Flow chart showing carbon credit generation and sales system for reducing greenhouse gas emissions through efficient stove use, with and without the Carbon Manna ‘micro-credit’ system

Flow Of The Generation Process

Figure shown illustrates the participation of different parties in the process and the crucial inclusion of the mobile phone companies for their money transfer facilities available in rural areas of the developing world (such as Kenya  and Tanzania), that also allows for verifiable, safe and recordable payment to the households for the part they play. The carbon offset carbon micro credit project portrayed in above uses efficient wood stoves as the mechanism for reducing greenhouse gases at the household level.

This is just an example of one type of carbon-saving product available and easily implemented in the developing world with mobile-phone money transfer systems. Other possible examples could be solar cookers or alternative clean fuels as substitutes for fossil fuels in personal transportation
